Short biography:
PhD: 2005 (Water protection of the upper part of the Kupa River catchment area; supervisors: Prof. emeritus Darko Mayer and Professor. Sanja Kapelj)
Master of science degree: 2001 (Groundwater management and protection of coastal karst aquifers on the example of the springs of the northern part of the Hrvatsko primorje; supervisors: Prof. emeritus Darko Mayer and Professor Ranko Žugaj)
Graduated: 1996 (Impact of the sea on the drinking water spring in the Bakar Bay on the example of the spring Perilo; supervisor: Prof. emeritus Darko Mayer)

From 1993 to 2006, he was employed at the Croatian Geological Survey, where he worked on a scientific project "Basic hydrogeological map of the Republic of Croatia", which was carried out by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and in which he was the leader of the topic "Gorski kotar". In 2006 he started working as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb. Since 2008, he has been the head of the International Relation Office at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, and from 2009 to 2011 he was Vice-dean for Research and International Cooperation. In July 2011, he was elected into the scientific-teaching title of an associate professor. From 2011 to 2016, he was the head of the Department of Hydrotechnics at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering.
He has been a member of the Technical Area Council of the University of Zagreb since 2009. From October 1, 2016, to September 30, 2020, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering and a member of the Senate of the University of Zagreb. From October 1, 2020, he has been Vice-dean for finances. In February 2017, he was elected into the scientific-teaching title of a full professor.

He passed the professional exam for independent geological research in 2003. He has led a large number of projects and studies related to the protection and management of karst aquifers.

He participated in the preparation of River Basin Management Plans of Croatia.

He is a member of the Scientific Council for Remote Sensing of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Croatian Geological Society, International Association of Hydrogeologists, International Association of Engineering Geology and the Croatian Society for Water Protection.

He has been an associate member of the Croatian Academy of Technical Sciences in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy sine 2017.
