Unit for Chemical Sensors

Category: Inženjerstvo okoliša

The chemical sensor market is estimated at US $ 21.39 billion in 2019. It is estimated that by 2025 the market will grow to US $ 32.96 billion, with annual growth of 7.51% over the period 2020-2025. (mordorintelligence.com) The research and development needs of chemical sensors are supported by increased environmental concern and increased pollution. At the Chemical Sensors Unit, we follow precisely these global trends and work on research and development of chemical sensors and biosensors for applications in the environment, industry and biomedicine. We use various analytical platforms and transducers together with the use of nanomaterials and microfluidics to develop fast, sensitive and inexpensive solutions for monitoring pollutants in water, air and soil.

The chemical sensor market was valued at USD 21.39 billion in 2019, and is expected to reach a value of USD 32.96 billion by 2025, at a CAGR of 7.51% during the forecast period (2020-2025). (mordorintelligence.com) The rising levels of pollution have supported the demand for Chemical Sensors R&D. Following this trends, at the Unit for chemical sensors we are doing the R&D of chemical sensors and biosensors for application in environment, industry and biomedicine. We are using different analytical platforms and transducing principles with implementation of nanotechnology and microfluidics to develop fast, sensitive and affordable solutions for monitoring pollutants in water, air and soil.
