The Laboratory for Environmental Geochemistry is part of the Department of Hydrotechnics. It consists of instruments and the accompanying equipment for sampling and analysing natural and wastewater, soil and sediment. A filed laboratory for the analysis of water and wastewater as well as a filed laboratory for the analysis of soil have been procured for the purpose of teaching students outside lecture halls. The equipment of the Laboratory meets all the criteria for determining basic pollution indicators of underground and surface water, soil and sediment such as heavy metals, nutrient salts of nitrogen and phosphorus, some organic pollution indicators, artificial tracers which indicate underground water flows etc.
