Professional activities of the Department include preparation of reports and environmental impact assessment studies, the preparation of documents for obtaining unified conditions for environmental protection, the expertise on specific problems related to pollution of certain environmental components and finding possible engineering solutions which will contribute to improving the quality of each component. In solving problems, besides scientific and engineering methods, special attention is paid to optimizing the economic effect of each problem solution. The activity of the Department is primarily directed towards cooperation with a Croatian industry and business entities.
