Graduate study programme in Water Management

Category: Diplomski studij

Upon the completion of the graduate study programme in Water Management, students will be able to:

  • implement legislation in the field of water management,

  • design, plan and conduct research studies on aquifers of intergrain, fissure, and fissure-cavernous porosity for the purpose of protection and use of water resources,

  • plan, supervise ad organise geophysical research studies for the purpose of water investigation works and laying of foundations for construction and hydrotechnical objects,

  • design, plan and supervise projects concerning melioration and regulation systems as well as systems of water supply and drainage,

  • monitor, analyse and evaluate the work of wastewater treatment facilities,

  • participate in teams working on plans for the management of water areas and hydrological studies of river basins,

  • organise data for databases of water facilities and phenomena and carry out a geoinformation system project (GIS) needed for water management,

  • make geostatistical spatial analyses of changes in pollutant concentration, charts of natural and specific vulnerability, threats and risks to aquifers and apply geochemical methods in the investigation of water resources and soil,

  • create a mathematical model of aquifers of intergrain porosity and participate in projects concerning the protection of drinking water sources;

  • participate in scientific-research projects in the field of environmental engineering and in investigation of water resources.
